We managed to move most of my Cool Things before the Thief's Broke The Gate Latch or made it in the Back Door. The Cool Things look Much Better Here at the New House!

Al is So Excited some time I wonder if he is going to rest. 

The Laundry Room is painted and the Washer and Dryer are in. So much laundry to do. There is even a place to fold the laundry right there next to the dryer. 

Tomorrow there is another trip to get a few more things that would be nice to have.

My Wonderful Contractor is back (Big Grin) well until Al chases him away with his I don't want the house turned upside down attitude. (so selfish) I am supposed to be getting the rest of my sheet rock hung, taped, textured and painted. Yooo Hooo!!!!!!.
My New Fence Looks Mighty Fine and Mister Super contractor just finished the retaining wall on the fence that is up Yeah!!!! It looks Sooooo Much better!!!!! Looks like we might even get the rest of it up all the way to the property line. (Big Grin.......)
I am Selling my House and going to move ??????? Well I hope in Oregon. I really Like my Doctor here so I don't want to go to far. Looking for a place where I can have my Kona and a couple of Goats or Sheep. Your Know room to play with my Tractor and Grow Veggies. Settle down, stay in one place. OK I can Dream can't I. This place here in Oakridge was the right place in the wrong spot for me. Oh well.....

Life In Oakridge

I have Been a bad Blogger I know..... But I have had much to do. We are getting a new Privacy Fence along the house. Yippeeee!!!! Feels So Good!!!

I have been Prepping my Laptop for a Trip to the Computer Doctor..... That means removing everything off my Hard Drive..... what a chore..... 200 GB to find room for or make sure I had already Backed Up. That chore finished I have now started the process of sending it off to be repaired. Staples has been wonderful about the Process! The return thing is a little over whelming for me! But Staples has walked me through it..

While Al and I were in town we had a Great Time Visiting. Met the Sweetest Man in Staples and just made me feel so much more confident about some decisions I made this past week. The next stop was Carls Jr where I have my Go To Town Comfort Food Stop. Mostly because the people are so nice there and they use Good Quality Ingredients, unlike some other Carls Jrs I have been to. Wish We Had A "Del Taco" or "Freash Mex" in Springfield! Back to Carls Jr. ;o) We were welcomed with a Big Smile at the door by the Assistant Manager. Then had a great time while Ordering (giggle). Found out that one lady had the same reactions to MSG as I did. Oh but alas New Customers arrived and we made our way to our table. The Food was Very Good as always and the staff was Very Attentive. I just Love that when people have a Good Work Ethic! Final Stop was Fred Myers where we met A nice lady and had a Fun Chat about how much we enjoyed Family Time when we were young. You Know back when Family Was Important!!! We reminisced about camping when we where kids. LOL Those where Great Times. We both had a few much needed laughs. Then come to find out her dad worked for the Southern Pacific Rail Road just like Al. So that led to more Great Conversation. But alas there was grocery shopping to be done and it was getting late. The trip home was very nice, hardly a car on the road. We got ahead of the rain storm and as always had the car unloaded just before the down pour. :O)

Mostly the report is that Al has is 4 Wheeler Shed finished. Well still needs paint on the Primer but it is Finished, & Locked Up just in time for the rain we have hasd for the last several days.

This latest kit will go Mountain Play to Heritage I believe. I can't believe I Stayed up all night to get my kit finished and I still feel like I should have done a better job. Gasp..... I used CU Stuff just to get it done...... I have several things in my note book I would love to do. Maybe after I get the taxes caught up....It is a Good Feeling to know that I made to the 4th Round and got my Kit in on time. My Best Kit So Far!!! There is Special Texture on every paper!!!. I made the kit from some pictures we took on a trip to the mountains around Downieville, Ca. Went drove around the mountain and explored an old strip mining cabin. Wish I had found the time to extract that cabin and do all the things I wanted to with it.... To many projects just like always. ;0[ Well I had a Ton of Fun making the papers. I guess the camera was on the wrong setting so I had to make up for that... All in All I am real happy with them. Then I had Way To Much Fun making Frames this time and didn't even do the ones planned. Still the kit contains 3 Frames... 1 is made from the window at the cabin. Yes those are beer bottles but I turned them around so as not to have the label showing. BTW Atomic Cupcake has this glass action that really spices up a window. Very Cool!!!!
Yes I had To Much Fun Playing with the actions to! So as rushed as I was there was much Fun to be had.
Are Looking at this template scratching your head. Well I have been to busy trying to hang on in the SAS Contest to mention that the template challenge ran this month. I believe there are over 34 templates just for you all you have to do is make on and give Kimberkatt the link to it. Any one that shares a template gets all the links. ;o) sweet isn't it. I made this one up today.

That is where I am. Al hired a carpenter to do his shed. It has a roof on it an the sides are sheeted and have tveck on them. The carpenter build the doors yesterday, but they are not hung yet. It is raining today. Both of Al's Toys have gone in to visit the little 1 Toy Shed.

After 3 Years of Worrying about my Bedroom Ceiling caving In, It has Been Repair. It only took 4 Hours, Amazing!!!! The Ceiling is still open and I have to sleep on the Daybed Downstairs tonight but The Hard Part Is Done!!! Now to see if it still weeps in water....

Here it is Round 3 Kit!!! Look at these Colors. Oh Wait Better Grab Your Sun Glasses!!! We got to make a Fall Kit From Scratch with No Brown!!!! Ugh... No Brown.... Ugh...... Oh yeah we all have the same title & Palette this time.
Thanks to all that voted for me and got me this far. It has been a Focusing experience. I have actually took the time to learn how to use my Adobe Photo Shop CS3 Software. Amazing I can now make texture from all those photos I took thinking that they would make Great Paper Texture. ;o) I am now almost a whiz at changing the color of items. I have yet to really learn all the extraction short cuts. But my way may take a long time but it make for a Beautiful Product. I even made my own Preview from Scratch...

Here in Oakridge things are Hoping. The Carpenter came by today to look at my bedroom ceiling that is rotting away. He is suppose to be here tomorrow at 9am to repair it. He says 1/2 a day but looks like 2 days to me. Right now my bed has been moved and has a tarp on it and my clothes are downstairs shooting pool. Well at least they are on the pool table. Al prepared the Sheetrock to come down out of the way so tomorrow that project should zoom. One Could Hope.... After all I am heading to the ranch on the 1st to get our taxes from last year all tied up.
Al's quad shed looks like it has a good 6 days work left on it to get the roof sealed for the winter. Where is the time to do all these things???? Lord Only Knows.... But it will get done...

I have another Big Thanks for those of you that Downloaded My Kit and Considered Me. There were so many choices and I am just happy to keep playing & learning. Tomorrow I will bethinking about my color palette and what elements I want to make for The Theme. Then when I get to sit at the computer tomorrow night I will actually make something! he he he.


Here is Day 2 of the next Progressive Scrap at SAS. Mitsybelle is doing a Fantastic Job of Keeping up with all the Scrappers! I received a Beautiful Cluster Frame for finishing my last LO!
First off I went to say I got that cool flourish ( I clipped provided paper to) form June at CenStuff. The Flower Shape Behind The Sepia Tone Photo is frim Deb The Scrappin Cop & the action that makes it look like felt is from Atomic Cupcake. The kit we are recieving pieces from is SAS September Mega Kit on sale right now!
This is my Grand Daughter and she is a Big Sister Now. Wow that makes me Grandma 2 Times.
I put Aleene's Duplos in my walker to get them off the floor for some reason and when I showed her where they when well once she found out that basket with the lid rolled the Fun was on. LOL It was quit entertaining to watch them play. LOL Funny thing is that when Aleene realized I was trying to take pictures of her she kept turning her head and smiling at me. But her Melynda was pushing her around so fast that I kept missing the picture. LOL Well if you know me I got plenty in spite of all the blurry motion shots. LOL

Teddy is so Excited because he wants me to make another page of him. These Colors and Elements will go perfect with the pictures of him sleeping on his bed witch happens to be on the couch! Teddy has lots of Privileges because he learned well from Benny. This Week Teddy has stopped several Seizures by making me take my meds just in time. The other night he Barked at Al and then came running up the stairs. Then he put his nose on my Valium bottle and when I didn't take the hint headed for the computer cables. That Smarty Pants was going to unplug me if I didn't take my Meds. By the way he was VERY RIGHT about me needing that Valium and I am SO GLAD he was SO PUSHY.

After Doing my Computer Stuff today Al & I worked on that old shed some more got a little done. Tomorrow I promised that we would build one of the extension walls now that we have the piers in and the 4x4 to put the wall on. Boy will it fell good to have 1 little part attached for real and not just on blocks!!!!! Well that project happens in just about 7 hours so I better go get some sleep.

BTW Like many other buildings here in Oakridge this shed was build with seconds from the local mill. LOL The seconds of that time where like the best stuff we buy now. LOL For those of you wondering, Yes that is Particle board siding. Still holding up in the Oregon Rains after all these years with no paint. Amazing!!!! (maybe all that wasp and hornet spray was holding it together)Believe Me you can still smell the formaldehyde that holds it together. Which BTW is the only thing holding that building together besides the umpteen screws I have put in it these last few weeks. LOL

This is a Much Bigger Project Then Anticipated!!!

This little stout shed was moved to it's current location well because it was in the way in its last location. Like Everyone that has stayed here has hit their head on the eves and said not nice words trying to get past it to go to the back of the shop. We are making it taller and deeper so that the 4 wheeler will have its very own place to hang out & no more head bonking will occur.

Well here in Oregon the Infamous Building moving and raising project is finally under control. We have gotten the building back (close) where we want it. It is now raised high enough to start the building and repairing part of the project. That is if the Oakridge Weekend Morons don't come knock it down. It seems that Some People need to get a Life! Our Dog ( You Know him as The Lap Dog) has drug us outside so many times tonight just to walk the fence line that we finally put the UTV in the Wood shop. Which the Morons had to comment Loudly: " They came outside and Put it in" How is that for an admission of Guilt. Oh I wish I had a Video surveillance system!

Today After some emergency building straightening I got to spend the day on the computer. Yeah!!!
Amber Wants to Tell you about my CU ItemsI spend hours organizing my CU stuff got tired of that and backed it up to the other EHD. The I pulled out my Tablet and extracted a saw blade. In celebration of working on my Country Man Kit I thought I would share my Saw Blade as a CU item. So I added Atomic Cupcake action to it. Well now I had to package it up it share. OH No I had no Visual CU TOU. So That has now been created. Isn't it Cute. Amber is the star of my CU TOU that way as I build a Customer base you will get use to seeing Kona for PU and Amber for CU. Besides I think she was getting jealous of all Kona Internet pictures and hers are few and far between. Amber is a Doll and should star in More memory pages. Building On Hold

My re-roofing project made it to the sheeting on the side we wanted to get done. But there was inpatient last night on the part of raising the building to make it taller and to get rid of the dry rot and termite damage. I awoke to the good intentions becoming a straightening project this morning when Frankly I don't know how I was walking around let alone thinking mathematically to fix the building or the blending and shoving more support under the rotten bottom plates to make it safer. So all said and done it is close to straight and level and I am on a 2 day break to recover and make a couple Freebies. Most importantly clean up my Laptop and EHD for the big competition at SAS There are over 50 sign ups now for the Next SASy Lady Contest. Amazing. You all cheer me on and see if I can make it past the first week. It all starts September 1st. l

In the Great Desire to make a Guy Kit I decided to complete Mitsybelles Quote Challenge at SAS. I made this LO in 12x12 because it started out at some paper for my new upcoming kit. The Subject of the memory page is a very hot day that my Daughter and Grand Daughter came to visit. My Granddaughter Loves to be outside!

My Page Secrets. It started with one of my Favorite Oakridge Sky pictures then I blended in a Tree from a Camping Trip to Seaquest State Park in Washington. To round out the bottom of the page my yard art Stump became the bottom border. I realize that you can not duplicate any of those things well maybe you can find that Beautiful Tree on a perfect morning. I just wanted you to get an idea how something like this comes together. Maybe this little bit of info lets you know that my mind is always thinking about how an object can turn into a scrapbook page. How is that for Clean Living. LOL

Oakridge Update

We are still working on the Giant Parking Lot in my Backyard. The Project has just progressed into repairing the roof on the Very Old Shed we moved just recently. First up was to repair the damage we caused to the roof moving it. LOL But it survived. Now We are working on getting it reading for new roofing. No one n=knows how long it has been since it had a new roofing but it has been overdue since I bought this place in 2002. So I suppose it is time. A friend has brought me some lath board to replace the damaged ones. He also came by with enough sheets of plywood to sheet the roof. All spend today pulling nails and scrapping off roofing, we can install it tomorrow. I spend the day finishing up the roof repairs for the side we plan on finishing first. Once the roof is water tight on that side it is on to the other side which we plan on making 2 feet wider because the building must grow to house one of Al's toys. I finally learned how to cut the rafters so I can install a facia board. Boy was that an aaaaa daaaaa moment. LOL

Home Safe In Oakridge

I got to come home to Oakridge for a spell a quick spell mind you but a spell. I rolled into the Drive at a Reasonable 10pm last night. After driving down the Mountain in the snow. Thats right even though I was told No Snow Tonight I Drove throughflurries so thick I slowed to 20mgh just to see the road. But at the top where thankfully the snow hadn't started coming down to hard yet, there where spots of ice that reminded me that my truck suck on rough icy pavement. The Snow was pretty I must say. My Hopes of a relaxing week pulling weeds in my Garden are being Dashed Again. Seems my Roomate thinks I should cater to his wants. hmmmm. Today I did get to go to the Doctor and Find Out I am doing Better!!!!! But then my day turned to Pooo when Al's Truck broke down and I had to rely others to get me the 30 miles home. Once home I pulled it together hopped in my truck and drove 50 miles back to the Dealer to get Al, the Dogs & Garden Shed Supplies. The trip home was Beautiful being that by then it was dusk and the sun Glisend off the River and the trees many shades of Green Danced accross the sky as I selfishly drove the back way home listening to "The John Tesh Radio Show". Awhhh but then Reality reared its ugly head and the rain came pouring down. The road filled with streams of water and you could hear and feel the tires go woosh as they pulled through it. The wipers raised accross the windshield as the washer fluid repeatily wiskjed the oil off that the trucks threw up at us. Oh to live in Oregon where the rain is clean and lets you know that this is why the trees are Those Many Shades Of Green. Our little excitment ended with the unloading of supplies from town at a reasonable 9pm. Yet here I sit 2:40am still not able to go to sleep. But I have made the most of it and made this fine Memory Page that I have shared in this post.

Last night I was Cruising my Blog list and saw that Mitsybelle had another Free QP. So of course I snagged it! Oh then I just had to have this Bloom kit! ( sale price $3.50) Good thing I CT for her! LOL As soon as I saw the QP I knew I just had to search through my pics on the EHD to find a Heritage Photo. This one of my mom when she was a child works so well. About the making of the page. I started with a new Document 8x8 by 300 dpi slide the QP in it and started wiggling it around. Then I slipped the matching paper behind it and blended the 2 together. Next came the picture in the middle of the sandwich. Of course the picture didn't fit. Ugh, so I cloned the BG a little and filled in the empty space. Then I had to make the page my own so I added some roses for my mom. next I grabbed the frame that match the one on the QP and put it right on top of the original frame so as to tuck the roses behind the frame. Then there was the journal box, simple as pie! Drop the rope frame onto the LO grab some paper, recolor it cut a smaller shape out with the marquee tool (one of my favorite tools now) drag it to the LO and slide it behind the rope frame. Grab the eraser tool and go around the Journal paper just inside the outer edge of the rope. Check for strays with the eraser tool and move on. Journal the page and add all the drop shadows. Now see how easy that was. LOL Why did it take me all evening and into the morning to do it. Hmmmmm

George is coming to fix the heater and I have a Honey Do List for him LOL It seems that I need a place to park my New Internet antenna, Computer speakers & EHD. I have a Shelf planned an it needs to go in the corner of the wall I am trying to finish. So today was Texture Day! Al was so Sweet and took this picture. Ah proof I did the work not a little fairy that stopped by. LOL As you can see I made a mess all over my pretty smooth wall. Not to worry because paint is coming in the near future and it will be all pretty then. :0)
