SAS BDay Just A Few Days Away
~~~~~
Today I thought I would put that Tag Frame Freebie into action! It seems that my Shed Building Repair Project has drawn some attention and Pictures where wanted. In all fairness you only get to see the Successful Part of the Project in Pictures. LOL
Font SC Shelby by The Scrappin Cop at www.thescrappincop.blogspot.com
*******
BTW Like many other buildings here in Oakridge this shed was build with seconds from the local mill. LOL The seconds of that time where like the best stuff we buy now. LOL For those of you wondering, Yes that is Particle board siding. Still holding up in the Oregon Rains after all these years with no paint. Amazing!!!! (maybe all that wasp and hornet spray was holding it together)Believe Me you can still smell the formaldehyde that holds it together. Which BTW is the only thing holding that building together besides the umpteen screws I have put in it these last few weeks. LOL
This is a Much Bigger Project Then Anticipated!!!
This little stout shed was moved to it's current location well because it was in the way in its last location. Like Everyone that has stayed here has hit their head on the eves and said not nice words trying to get past it to go to the back of the shop. We are making it taller and deeper so that the 4 wheeler will have its very own place to hang out & no more head bonking will occur.
Oakridge Update
~~~~
Well here in Oregon the Infamous Building moving and raising project is finally under control. We have gotten the building back (close) where we want it. It is now raised high enough to start the building and repairing part of the project. That is if the Oakridge Weekend Morons don't come knock it down. It seems that Some People need to get a Life! Our Dog ( You Know him as The Lap Dog) has drug us outside so many times tonight just to walk the fence line that we finally put the UTV in the Wood shop. Which the Morons had to comment Loudly: " They came outside and Put it in" How is that for an admission of Guilt. Oh I wish I had a Video surveillance system!

Freebie QP 8x8
~~~~
Kona Memory Page
~~~
Oakridge Yard
~~~
Today in my bits and pieces of time I thought I would spruce up that Heritage LO I made using my New Kit Country Girl. When it was all said and done I revamped 2 elements that I hope to share with you tomorrow in a Frame Cluster. As I took a gander at the finished QP I had to put horsey pictures in it. It so happened that Kona became the subject so the bow turned from pink to Blue. The font I used was from The Scrappin Cop and it is called messy paint.
~~~~~~~~~~
Here Is Today's Goody.
Come Back Tomorrow for this Cluster Frame
I am just do excited about finally building a kit that I have signed up for the Next Sassy Lady Contest at SAS. The competition is already shaping up to be Big and Talented! Be Sure to head over there and read all about it in the Forum all those free kits will be coming your way come September!

Sprucing Up In Oakridge
~~~~
Our Back Yard project has come down to a slow crawl. It takes 2 days to build up the rock wall and plant 1 Hedge Bush. Here I am with 2 plantings and it is time to head back to California to wait the birth of my Grand Son. I figure the other 4 plants will be dead by the time I get back and maybe the 2 I planted because they will probably not get enough water. My tractor is off to the mechanic to have the vandalism repaired and to give me a worry free time away. I hope to move the last little pile of dirt and spread the last little bit of rock to make a no trip surface before I leave. We will see what DGS has to do with that. My journey back in the new car begins Wednesday or Thursday. Just a drop in the bucket for the 7500 miles I need to drive before George Gets It. Some day this Merry Go Round will end and I will get to stay put with my animals and live happily ever after.
Yard Update
~~~~
Today was the Big Day!!!! Drum Roll........
We moved two small sheds to places that are less in the way. The both stayed in one piece and should be repairable to function again for storage of what ever our hearts desire. Even though the shed that is mostly particle board will need more repair then original thought. it seems that the roof came loose on one end. That minor detail and that fact we couldn't get the door facing the right direction , which means I will have to frame in a door on the other side. No Prob though because there used to be a window over there. Work Half done. LOL Al commented how ugly that shed is now that you can actually see it. LOL. We also said good bye to the big yellow tractor that made it all possible. But Good News it's Daddy said he will be back by to visit soon. :o)
Tomorrow I hope to replant the hedge or at least prep to do it. But I might find myself on that Wood Shed putting the roof back together. LOL The Plants would prefer I put them back in the dirt first. LOL

~~~~
I hope to be back tonight to show you the QP with my Pics in it. ;o) but right now I have to jump on the tractor to get ready for 2 more loads of rock arriving in just 2 1/2 hours. Nothing like cutting it close! he he he
~~~

I made it back before the stroke of Midnight to bring you my version of the QP. The Journaling Reads
For The Love Of The Tractor - Little Kubota That Could - This week I remembered The Little Golden Book Little Black The Story of the pony replaced by the Big Red Horse even though the pony could still do the Job.

Maybe not as fast But still Gotter Done. So it has been this Weak What a difference size makes!

Yup I have the Girl Horsey From the Kit and you get the Boy Horsey. Again I want to Thank Deb the Scrappin Cop for the Template that made these Horseys possible. I also want to thank Deb for the font I used on this memory page SC Shelby. It is such a Pretty Font that I am sure I will be using it again and again. Just like her Fat and Lazy font used to make the Country Girl Word Art.

Little Catch Up About Me
~~~~
So we got the New Car a Chevy Cobalt!!! George Made a Whirl Wind trip in his Grandam. California to Oregon on Tuesday. Then Oregon to California on Wednesday. He Drove his new car maybe 4 miles before he left. LOL Oh boy did we need need that Cars for Clunker Deal. On the way to trading in my Caravan it acted up a few times with the front end shaking more the farther we went and by the time we got to the dealership both of us were glad it was going to be Crushed. Well except for those really nice tires that were on it. But it gets better, George gets home with his Grandam and the Radiator starts leaking so much that he was afraid to drive it to work and had to borrow a van from a Buddy. Besides the Radiator he is worried about the half shafts (basically the wheel falls off when they break) Just maybe seeing a blazer upside down on the railroad tracks that had no front Wheel, might have given him some well deserved fear. Needless to say I have the new car in Oregon and George is spending his weekend putting his Super Grandam with 270,000 miles on it back together. Kinda like Humpty Dumpty. I just Praise God that I don't have to drive back to the ranch amongst all the work that needs to be done here in Oakridge. I was not looking forward to driving him to work every day, because the New Car is Registered here.
Camping Memory Page
~~~~~~~~~~~Page made using my kit Country Girl. Take not the background paper is the blue paper from my kit with an overlay I made on it. I am thinking, That Paper just might find its way into my next kit Country Man
~~~~~~~
Can You believe it I Got To Go Camping!!!!!
Well it took to flat tires on the cargo trailer to get me a well deserved cheap vacation. $300 for 5 days including food and 4 wheeling in my truck. ;0)
That's right on our way to Oregon we lost the valve stem on one of the tires while we were relaxing in a rest stop in Corning California. So after we had put the comfy chairs away I noticed that poor soft tire with a whole 5 lbs of air in it. Al being a trooper changed that tire in 100degree weather. We were off again with our sites on Chiliquin Oregon and cooler temps to sleep for the night. Well it seems that that the other tire had other plans and at the next rest stop I noticed it was getting softer. So it was straight to Lake Head where we pulled into a Forest Service Campground for the night maybe two. Al took my truck the next afternoon back down the hill to where we just came from. lol When he came back we decided to stay for a while. Our campground was right on Shasta Lake with polite families camping. here and there. Every day we decided to stay another. LOL we took my truck to the top of the mountain and then down to another lake to the bottom of the creek and back up the hill where we turned around decided it was to hot to 4 wheel without air conditioning and my truck didn't belong where we were going. LOL. As another day passed our neighboring campers told us how to get my truck to the waters of Shasta. The next day we drove right down to the water and went for a swim. We had Great Fun every afternoon we would run to the corner market that had a good selection and bought food to BBQ. Corn on the Cob, Steak, Onions & Potatoes. Yum Yum. Breakfast was left overs and camp coffee. i finally figured out that if you turn off the heat the grounds fall to the bottom and you can pull that coffee out ground free with a ladle. Yumm Yumm. The days were fill with unlimited cubed ice in my Beer or Water for Al until we found Mexican Punch mix at the store. We Relaxed, Drink, Played, Swam, and where happy with no cares in the world except sharing dinner with the Bees. The Best Flat Tire Ever. LOL
Memory Page Of Georges Folks
~~~~
Aleene & Tuffy
While Sending some photos to Georges Family I came across this Photo and Photo Back. Yup you got it I scan in the backs of Photos that Have Writing. It is such a simple way of saving that important info and a Fun way to include hand writing of those we love that are no longer with us. I recognize this writing as Aleenes. Back to the LO. I saw this picture and remembered how much Aleene Loved our horses. This being the case it was only natural to use my new Kit Country Girl to save these photos in a form that I can print and put in a 8x8 album with the other photos of Georges mother.
Back In Oregon!

Goat Memory Page
~~~~~
My Sara and Her Boys
A few days before I left the ranch I took fresh pictures of my goats. Sara patiently waited her turn and smiled for the camera. Lucky me caught her Chocolate Son playing King Of The Mountain on Mom. Frosted Ears relaxed with some fresh alpha in the shade on a bed of pine needles. Such is the live of a goat on a Miserably Hot Day at the ranch
I made this LO for Darlene Haughin July Clutter It Challenge at SAS. It so happened that her Free QP matched the colors in my new kit "Country Girl" Scroll down and see the Preview. All I need is 3 more kits to go and I will search out a store to sell them in. Today I made a Paper Butterfly for the kit and I had made a Metal Brad to add to the kit when I made this Goat Memory Page. Speaking of my new kit I have seen some Totally Cool Memory Pages I never thought possible made with "Country Girl" My Friends are Awesome. Sneak Peeks are Fun. ;0)
My First Full Kit
~~~~~Here it is my first full kit! I call it "Country Girl" because it is all about the things I would like to have on my memory pages.
Many items were pictures taken at my ranch or out 4 wheelin with a few CU actions, CU templates, & CU Art Work thrown in here & there for a nice mix of goodies. I wanted to give a Special Thanks to Deb the Scrappin Cop for the Horse Template that I had so much fun playing with. What is it with these talented Deb because I also had a Ton of Fun playing with Debra Pas actions which I ran and then removed and added to, to make the finished products! Maybe I should go in search of CU items made by Deb, LOL
The colors where taken from a photo of our spring pasture
I have popped the Preview in the New designers Program Thread over at SAS. Please Stop over there and leave some Love in the Thread so Hopefully Toiny will take a notice and give me a chance in the SAS store for a month.
